Satin Wedding Shoes - Buying Tips

Satin Wedding Shoes - The Pros of Buying

When a bride imagines the perfect, fairy tale wedding, one of the first things that comes to her mind is most likely going to be the wedding dress she wears on that day. Though the shoes on her feet may not be the first thing she envisions, they play an important role in going with the bridal ensemble. Finding the right pair of shoes that goes with the outfit and is comfortable enough to wear for the whole day is crucial to the look and feel of a wedding outfit. Satin wedding shoes can fit this description and are good to consider. They aren't too expensive, they look beautiful, they come in a variety of styles, and they can be used for bridesmaids as well as for the bride.

No matter what type of bride you picture yourself to be, you can find satin wedding shoes to match your look and your comfort level. There are open toed and closed toed shoes with all size heels. There are also ballet flats or even slippers, if you want to have comfort but still look elegant. If you're into a more unique look there are even satin wedding boots that you can get. If you want a plain, simple white wedding shoe you can find that without a problem. If you're into a little more color or sparkle, there are lots of shoes that add bows, flowers, rhinestones and glitter. No matter what style you buy, you are sure to find a beautiful looking shoe that will go with your wedding dress and your style.

If cost is something that you are concerned about, the good news is that satin wedding shoes are affordable. You can find them at stores such as Payless Shoe Source and many other discount shoe stores online. With so many other wedding expenses and fees, it makes sense to look for a good, beautiful shoe at an affordable price. Some styles are available for as little as $30, with most averaging between $30-70. If you search around at different stores and online you are sure to find a bargain.

Finally, one of the best things about satin wedding shoes is that you can use them not only for the bride, but for your whole bridal party. These satin shoes come in white, but are designed to be easily dyed. You can choose the same color as your bridesmaids' gowns and get their satin shoes dyed to match. You can even pick the same style shoe for the bride and bridesmaid, so they match in style but vary in color

Wedding Flowers For Every Month

You are probably familiar with birthstones, the tradition that people born in each month have a special gemstone. But did you know that there is also a flower associated with every month of the year? When you are planning a wedding, it is a wonderful idea to incorporate meaningful flowers into your bouquet. It would be lovely to include either the flower for your birth month or the special blossom for the month in which you will be wed. This is a guide to wedding flowers for every month of the year.

The flower for January is the carnation. This is a humble flower, but one that can easily be elevated to modern chic by the way in which it is arranged. Mound loads of carnations in tight clusters to create nifty pomanders and centerpieces in footed urns. February brides can enjoy the sweet old-fashioned charm of violets and primroses. Painted flowerpots filled with delightful violets would be quaint and lovely.

March ushers in the first breath of spring, and along with it the most quintessential spring flower: the daffodil. This cheerful yellow (or yellow and white) bloom is the perfect way to chase away the gloom of winter. Mini daffodils work especially well in bouquets. April bride or born? Try a bouquet of ruffly old fashioned sweetpeas, which come in wonderful shades of pink, peach, yellow, and lilac.

One of the most beloved of all wedding flowers is the birth flower of May, which is lily-of-the-valley. The tiny white or lilac colored blossoms make for lovely bouquets. They are best used in an arrangement that features only lily-of-the-valley. The delicate little flowers are sweet and absolutely iconic of a classic bride. Tie the bouquet with a simple white satin ribbon for the perfect finishing touch. Lily-of-the-valley is a flower that is best used when in season.

June is known as the month for brides, and so it can be no accident that two of brides' favorite things are also associated with the month of June. Classic roses and pearl bridal jewelry are both the symbols of June birth, and are cherished by women being wed in every month of the year. Roses are widely available all year round and in a fabulous selection of colors and varieties. You don't have to be a June baby to want to carry a big bouquet of roses on your wedding day.

The signature flower for July is the larkspur. A tall plant with a multitude of blossoms on every stem, the larkspur is an excellent addition to wedding arrangements in which height is needed, such as planters on the altar. The same is true for the August flower, the gladiola. As a matter of fact, I had white glads in my wedding flowers to give presence to the large ceremony arrangements.

Autumn born brides can enjoy flowers in rich fall tones. The aster is the September flower, and it is available in a great shade of red. The casual daisy-like aster also comes in pretty shades of purple and white. The flower for October is the marigold. Infrequently seen at weddings, the hardy marigold could nonetheless make a nice addition. The orange shades of the signature flower can be enhanced by pairing it with bridal jewelry created from opal colored Swarovski crystals (opal being the October birthstone).

Cold winter months bring with them some lovely signature flowers of their own. The flower for November is the mum, which can be a pretty and affordable addition to a late fall wedding. And finally, there is the Narcissus, which is December's flower. A beautiful bulb that is often forced in pots over the winter months, tiny pots with a single Narcissus would be fantastic as table decorations that could double as favors for your guests to take home.

It is always fun when you can find ways to add layers of meaning to your wedding. Including the signature flower for the month of your birth or the date of your wedding is a great idea. It will make your flowers not just beautiful, but also extra special.

Wedding Candy

Wedding candy tends to be one of those details that are important but tend to be put off or overlooked as a minor problem. But really do not overlook this part of your wedding. The search for wedding candy does not apply to all weddings but does need to be found for those wedding who are using favor boxes, favor bags, and candy buffets.

There are three main ways to choose a wedding candy: childhood favorite, by color, by theme.

Childhood favorite - This is one of the most fun ways to choose candy for your wedding. It lets you express little pieces of your past. Sometimes it feel like is hard to work in the more whimsical side of your personality into a dignified celebration and this can be the perfect way. Make sure that whatever you choose it is a quality version of that item. You might remember those gas station gummy worms as being awesome but your adult guests would probably prefer a higher end version.

By Color - Now we are getting a little more refined. If it is color you are after Jelly Belly Jelly Beans are an excellent choice. Mostly because they are available in bulk amounts and are very easy to choose by color. You can even find different shades of your color in different flavor Jelly Bellys. Not to mention Jelly Belly Beans and other products are high quality and delicious!

By Theme - It gets a little bit trickier to find a match by theme, but it can be done. If you wanted a wedding candy to match a summer or country feel you might choose Lemon Drops or Sunkist Lemon Slices. If you wanted to match a Champagne Wishes theme you could go with Champagne Bubbles.

Wedding Dresses For Any Season

When you are getting married it is important to remember every detail in planning your wedding. It is important to take into consideration what season your wedding date is set for and choose the perfect wedding dress for that season.

Fall wedding dresses

The fall season can be a very tricky month; it can be warm during the day, and freezing cold at night. It is important that you choose the right dress. Wedding experts have recommended that wearing a strapless wedding dress will allow you to be comfortable during the day, however if you get chilly toward the end of the day, you can wear a shawl, wrap or even a stole to stay warm. These accessories will accent the look of your gown.

It is also recommended that the gown should be off white or cream color with bronze or gold beading. Jeweled accents are perfect for fall wedding dresses.

Summer wedding dresses

Summertime is the most chosen season for weddings. There are many different options for wedding dresses for the summer season. It is important that you decide well before you choose a dress where the wedding will be held. It is equally important that you choose a dress appropriate for the location. You do not want to wear a full-length wedding gown if you are getting married on the beach or in some other casual setting. Summer wedding gowns should be made out of lightweight materials like silk, chiffon or crepe. The lightweight material will allow you to stay comfortable in the summer heat and during the festivities.

Winter wedding dresses

Winter is perhaps the most difficult season to choose a wedding dress for. Although the traditional long white wedding gown is recommended for winter weddings, many people choose to go with other colors that reflect the season. Green blue and even red colors are all wonderful choices for a winter wedding.

Long sleeves are also recommended for a winter wedding. However you can choose a gown that has lace and embroidery for sleeves. It creates a very elegant look.

Choosing a wedding dress can be the highlight of planning your wedding. It is important to understand that you will not chose the first wedding dress that you see, and that it may take some time to find the perfect wedding dress. It is equally important that you do not stress during the process of choosing a wedding dress. You will know immediately when you see the right one.

Wedding Favors For A Green Wedding

If you are holding a "green" or eco-friendly wedding, there are several wedding favors that you can provide for your guests that they will love. They include things such as:

- Bottled spring water with waterproof personalized favor labels.

- An energy efficient light bulb which has an applied label containing the bride and groom's wedding day information on it attached to the packaging.

- Small recyclable bottles of bubble solution which contains a non-toxic "green" soap formula. A card made of recycled stock printed with soy-based ink containing the bride and groom's name and wedding date can be tied to each small bottle.

- Certificates showing that a donation in the name of "The friends of Mr. and Mrs. ..." has been made for something like the planting of a seedling to aid in reforestation, etc. Again, the particulars of the wedding can be included as a memento that a common cause has been supported on this special day.

- Small, eco-friendly items like tissue packs, lip balm, bubble bath, etc. which the wedding guests may take home with them.

- Recyclable mugs with the couple's name's and wedding date printed on it.

- Small scented soy or other eco-friendly candles (which have the advantage of burning cooler, and longer) in glass containers etched with the couple's wedding day information. The containers may be reused after the original votive is gone.

- Packets of organic seeds which may have personalized labels attached.

- Copies of tasty recipes made with organic, vegetarian, or vegan-useable ingredients.

- Bio-degradable pens made of corn and soy based components. In the event that it is ever lost outside, it will biodegrade completely and cause no harm to the environment.

- Flower bulbs tucked into an attractively textured bag. You can make them from unbleached muslin, hand-dyed jute or burlap, and stencil a monogram or a picture of the flower in front.

In conclusion, finding eco-friendly or "green" wedding favors may take a little more work to find, but they are out there if you are willing to invest just a little bit more time.

Creative Ideas For Wedding Receptions

If you are planning or have ever helped someone plan a wedding, you know how expensive it can be. Even those who try to cut cost often find that there are very few traditional methods for having an inexpensive event. However, if you are willing to use some creativity and be flexible, there are plenty of ways to cut costs. The important thing is to decide what your priorities are and choose just one or two splurges. The other aspects can be done on the cheap but still seem as if you are having an elegant, fun, celebratory occasion. The first thing you can do to lessen the amount you will spend on the reception is to find inexpensive food solutions.

Instead of serving a full sit down dinner, consider serving only cake and other desserts. If you have an afternoon or later evening wedding, people may not be expecting a full dinner. Serving cake, pastries, and delicious dessert wines is a great way to cut costs. Another option for cutting food costs is to serve non-traditional wedding meals. The average wedding meal of rubbery chicken or overcooked steak often costs ten or twenty dollars per serving. For a more affordable choice, go for casual and fun food that is still filling such as something like BBQ catering or a corporate catering service which can provide delicious, casual meals guests will love. Your reception will have a more casual feel with a meal like this, but it will still be a lot of fun and a great way to celebrate the occasion.

Food is not the only way to cut wedding costs. Many times it is the venue rental fees that add to the cost of the event. Instead of opting for a high-end wedding reception hall, go for something for casual and cost effective. If you have a place that is large enough, consider having the reception in your home, or the home of a friend or family member. Depending on the climate in which you live, the outdoor space of a private home can make for a great reception location. If no one has a home large enough or no one is up for setting up and cleaning up, you can choose a nearby park or lakefront.

There are sometimes rental fees associated with these locations, but they are typically hundreds of dollars less than traditional wedding reception venues. All it takes is a little decoration and a beautiful outdoor view to make for a great location. Have a friend head over to the site beforehand to set up. In some cases, you can even have the ceremony at the location. Speak with your wedding officiate to see if they are willing to perform an outdoor ceremony. Weddings can be expensive, but with a few cost cutting ideas, you can have a fantastic reception without spending a ton of money. Use your imagination, commit to being flexible, and remember the important part of the wedding is being surrounded by your friends and family on your special day.

5 Considerations When Choosing Wedding Invitations

If you are planning your wedding, you want everything about your wedding to reflect your personality and your sense of style. From your wedding dress to your wedding invitations, you want everything about your wedding to be perfect. Today, there are many different styles, colors and textures available for wedding invitations and finding your exact style may take some time. Following are several considerations that can help you find the invitations for your wedding that will reflect the beautiful and stylish person you are.

  1. What is the Setting?

  2. When you are choosing wedding invitations, it may help you to consider the setting of your wedding. Whether you are having a formal wedding or a more casual wedding, there are invitations that reflect that setting. If you are having a formal, black-tie wedding, you may want to consider invitations that are formal as well. If you are having a more casual outdoor wedding, an invitation that is casual may be just your style.

  3. What are your Colors?

  4. Another consideration that can help you find the wedding invitations that are perfect for you are the colors of your wedding. Invitations are available in almost every color you can think of, so matching your invitations to your wedding colors is possible and a great idea. You can also match colors to the theme of your wedding, choosing bright, sunny colors for a summer outdoor wedding or Christmas colors for a Christmas wedding.

  5. What is Your Theme?

  6. You may also want to consider the theme of your wedding when you are picking out your wedding invitations. If you are having a beach themed wedding, you can often find invitations that have pictures of the beach or follow that theme. If you are having a garden theme, you may want to have invitations that have flowers on them to go with the garden theme. Whatever theme you are having at your wedding, you can probably find invitations that complement that specific theme.

  7. Do You Want Photos?

  8. One option you have that will make your wedding invitations unique is having a photo of you and your groom-to-be on the front or inside your invitations. You can choose a simple invitation and have your photo added to make an invitation that your friends and family will treasure.

  9. What is Your Budget?

  10. When choosing your wedding invitations, you also should consider the budget you have. If you are spending more money on your dress, you may have to cut back on the money spent for invitations. Even if you are cutting back on the budget for invitations, there are many great choices that are budget friendly.

Your invitations are one way that you will let your friends and family know about your big day, so you want them to be perfect and a reflection of you and your love. Keeping these considerations in mind can help you find wedding invitations that will be beautiful, unique and a wonderful way to invite your cherished loved ones to share in your special day.

Wedding Plan

A wedding plan is probably the most important part of any wedding. There are so many aspects that require attention and consideration in a wedding that you should seriously concentrate on making a good detailed wedding plan.

You can actually save a lot of money if you plan your wedding well, since you will be able to find the most affordable services and avoid some costly shortcomings.

One very important aspect of a sound wedding plan is finding a good reliable photographer and camera person. After your wedding is over, you'll want to have great memories from it, including photographs and videos. Additionally, it might be a good idea to have at least two photographers at your wedding. Alternatively, you may simply ask your guests to bring their own cameras and video cameras to insure that you will have many memorable shots taken from "different angles".

Next, try to delegate some of the planning to moms. This will prevent them from feeling left out, and it will also keep them busy.

It's a good idea to have someone else decorate and cater your reception party. It might be a bit more expensive to use professional catering and decorating services, but you will save yourself from a load of stress. You may want to make sure that the services also include cleaning up after the wedding reception. Again, this may cost you a bit more, but it's really best to spare your family members from having to clean up after the party is over.

If you have children, you might want to hire a babysitter for just that one day. The children and the babysitter may either be attending your reception or stay at home, depending on the age of the children.

One of the most common complaints about a wedding is food. Most commonly people complain that the food was lousy or that there wasn't enough food (e.g., some specific courses). It's not hard to find a good affordable catering service with good food if you start checking out different places in advance. Also, if you find a good catering service, you will be able to make sure that there's enough food for everyone.

Last but not least, keep your budget in mind at all times so that you don't find yourself in debt after the wedding is over.

A good wedding plan will help you avoid most of the wedding hassles, and let you enjoy this beautiful day.

An Artificial Wedding Flower

What is an artificial wedding flower? There are many types of artificial flowers that are used for weddings, the most common are mulberry paper flowers, crepe paper flowers, and silk flowers.

Most mulberry paper flowers are handmade and the mulberry paper is also handmade. This is a paper that is also eco-friendly, because the mulberry trees are not harmed. The only part of the tree that is used is the bark and the way the bark is striped off does not hurt the tree itself. When the bark is striped from the tree it grows back in about twelve months and can be harvested again at that time.

Also there are no chemicals added to the pulp when it is made into the paper and even the dyes are natural. This is one of the most natural of the artificial flowers for weddings.

They can be found on the Internet on websites that deal with mulberry paper flowers; you can find them as just single flowers to make your own bouquets and other flowers for the wedding ceremony and also to decorate the reception area or you may find them already made up in bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, centerpieces, or any type of flower that you will need for your wedding.

Then there are crepe paper flowers, which are somewhat eco-friendly too because most of the flower is recyclable or can be reused for other weddings, kept as keepsakes, or reused to decorate your home.

And you can make these artificial flowers, which is something you can be proud of for years to come as you made your own wedding decorations. This is even a great thing to get your family and friends involved in and they can also say they helped with your wedding day. You can find books that are on the Internet that have patterns and detailed instructions on how to make paper flowers. Some sites even sell the crepe paper to make these beautiful artificial wedding flower designs.

Another type of artificial flower is the silk flower you can usually purchase these flowers individually at super centers, craft stores, some floral shops, and there are several websites on the Internet and you can get these already made up in your bouquets, centerpieces, etc.

Whatever artificial wedding flower you choose will not wilt or die before the ceremony like the real thing will and they can also be kept as mementos of your wonderful wedding day.

So before you choose the type of flowers you are going to use for your wedding check out your artificial wedding flower arrangements and flowers along with the real thing and consider that the real ones only last a short time and the artificial ones can be used again in someone else's wedding or even in your home décor or even kept as a special reminder of that special day.

The day of your wedding is undoubtedly the most unforgettable and cherished day of your life. The day is made even more special with the presence of all your near and dear ones. Closest family and friends are there by your side to support and share the most significant moment of your life. As years go by, memories start to grow fainter and such an occasion is recollected through pictures of the esteemed day. However, if the photos are not good enough, the essence of the moment is ruined completely. Therefore, during the course of planning your wedding, it is very important to consider various options of wedding photography. You must look around for the best wedding photographer who can capture the exclusive day and come out with wonderful pictures to make for promising memories. Before choosing a person to act upon the successful task of wedding photography, there are few factors that need consideration:

The Style of Pictures
How do you want your photos to be? Most wedding photographers enhance the look of the pictures by adopting a specific style for example, traditional poses, candid camera work or photojournalism. You can either choose from one of these styles or get a combination of all. Also, you are given the option of getting the pictures in grayscale, sepia or natural colors.

Choosing the Photographer
The person taking your wedding pictures will be around you all through out the day and therefore it is very necessary to know the person before signing him up for the charge. Take time to speak to the photographer and get to know him well. He must be friendly yet professional, patient yet punctual, reliable and should make you feel at ease.

View Samples before Hiring
This is the most important aspect of appointing someone for wedding photography. You must request to view samples of the photographer's previous work. Make sure you ask about the number of people assisting him and about the whole process as to how they go about it.

Time of Coverage
The session of photography depends on the events covered. In case you decide to get pictures of the ceremony only, the time of coverage would last from 1-3 hours. Many people also decide to get exclusive pictures of rehearsal dinner, bride and groom, engagement, reception, décor and cake etc. You can really get pictures clicked of the entire ceremony to make for an awesome reminiscence.

Delivery of Photos
This is the post photography session when you need to ask about how the photos will get delivered, if you can request for albums, if they will offer the negatives or digital files etc.

Price of Photos
The price of the photos is a significant aspect that needs a lot of thought. Don't make a hasty choice by choosing a cheap photographer. You must not compromise on quality for a few extra pounds. The pictures will remain with you forever and thus you must shell out some extra money and go for the best kind of wedding photography.

Wedding Decorations

Wedding decorations help make the most momentous time of a couple's life even more special. A wedding planned with attention to the décor adds style, fun, and drama to the big day. It is very important to gauge the style and mood of the couple while planning the intricate details of the wedding decoration. The way the wedding decorations turn out tends to depend a lot on what the bride and the groom wants it to be.

When planning wedding decorations, it is important to take into account the venue of the wedding. Wedding ceremonies these days take place in just about any place imaginable, with options ranging from churches, mansions to boats. An interior decorator or a florist could be hired to decorate the venue. Care must be taken though to ensure the decorations fit in with the general feel of the venue, and neither looks neither too loud nor too mellow.

Every intricate detail of the wedding is taken into consideration while decorating. The color scheme, mood, location, available space, time of the year, family traditions, number of guests, time of the day, and budget are taken into account.

The areas that can be considered for decoration are the altars, flowers, gift, cake and cake tables, favors, bathrooms, guestbook, food, centre pieces, getaway vehicle, chair backs, walls, doors, accessories, banisters, ceilings, floors...the list is endless! The decoration ranges from the outrageously expensive to the very nominal. One needs to figure out his or her needs and constraints before making a choice.

It is amazing how a little bit of imagination and planning can create a magical day for the couple and remain in the memory of the guests for years to come.

Wedding Favors Party

Wedding favors constitute one of those elements of your wedding which become all consuming in terms of time and effort. Not only do you have to go through the headache (and sometimes trauma) of finding the perfect favor, but then you need to make sure you order the right amount and that they will arrive in plenty of time.

Add to this choosing your packaging, decorations, tags, labels, stickers, ribbons and then making sure you have come up with the perfect finished design when everything is packaged up. I wonder how many brides find wedding favors the final straw!

But once you have ordered (and received) them, comes the task of putting them all together. This may seem like the most monotonous job especially if you have a couple of hundred of more to do, so why not turn your favor assembling into a party and share the load?

Holding a wedding favor party is a great chance for you to catch up with friends and get you favors made up at the same time. You could even combine it with your bridal shower. Or just turn it into a quiet night with girls, making favors, watching movies and having a drink!

You will need to set up plenty of room to work in, such as a large table or even the lounge floor if you can make space. Then lay out all the favor 'stuff'. It would be a good idea to make one or two up yourself first so you can show them what the finished article should look like and so you are up to speed with how they should go together.

Set everything up in different stations i.e one to make up the favor boxes, one to fill, one to tie ribbon, one to add the tags etc. It would be a good idea to work out how many people you will need to fill each 'station' too many people and some maybe left out or the finished favors may not all look the same; too few people and you could be there all night and probably the next day as well!

Design some invites at home and send them round, then organize some drinks, food or takeout and a few movies. You could theme the night as well if you wanted to, such as a cocktail and canapés evening; although you may want to get the favors finished before you start on the cocktails!

Wedding favors can be taxing especially when couples with everything else you need to do within your wedding planning, but if your are crafty you can turn them into something fun and achieve a perfect end result in half the time it would take you to complete them on your own!
